Ecstatic is the most fitting word for my feelings listening to your superb piano productions, especially the sort of boogie I have tried to play, and sought for 65 of my eighty years aboard this globe. And my wife, who shares this feeling, has left orders that this kind of boogie be played at her wake in order to convey the sheer joy it brings into troubled times. Not only that, but your music transports me back to 1938 when I first heard boogie on the free jukebox in our Catholic parish hall, among some hymns, and began my lifelong search for more of that great link. Heartfelt thanks to you, Jon Sarta, for the thrilling and repeatable experience.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jon Sarta has been listening to Boogie Woogie since the age of 9 when his Dad gave him a steady diet of Albert Ammons, Jimmy Yancey, Meade "Lux" Lewis, and Pete Johnson. When a piano came into the house 3 years later, it was full speed ahead. Today he is a professional musician in and around Orlando, Florida. He can be found filling in at Disney World on Main Street (Check out the videos), Ft. Wilderness at the Hoop De Doo Review, in the Lobby at the Grand Floridian Hotel, and on the Boardwalk on Musicale Mark's bicycle piano. Other venues: The Crowne Plaza Orlando Airport Hotel and Cheeser's Palace in Clermont (see the Gigs page). In between, he records, teaches private lessons and is Director of Music at Resurrection Church in Winter Garden, FL.
