By Jon Sarta

Release Date: October 31, 2007
Price: $9.99

Great Hymns of Faith is a collection of time tested songs that have sustained Christians in good times and bad. They were recorded simply, without embellishments to let the power of the melody and message enter our spirit and give us the strength to sustain us with our own personal daily challenges. Singers can also use this recording when a musician is not available.

This is pianist Jon Sarta’s 13th release on the MLJ Music label. A resident of Clermont, Florida, he has been active in church music ministry for the past 20 years in addition to playing and recording classic jazz in the Orlando, Florida area.

  • great hymns of faith
    author: bob metafora

i bought this cd "on faith" as i didn't listen to any of the clips. i was motivated because i had bought the boogie woogie series and was somehow touched at levels beyond what i expected - and that was boogie woogie! with this album jon manages to convey in a simple and unadorned way, the lovely warmth and encouragement of these hymns. the first time i played the cd, i listened to it all the way through and found myslef choked up on more than one occasion. very nice that there are no lyrics; as i said, simple and unadorned, but lovely and, if i may say so, restorative.
